About Us

We are an innovative, college-preparatory, public charter school with a small, neighborhood feel. Ours is a nurturing environment, where every child is well known and cared for by our staff. We focus on your child as a whole - offering an academically rigorous curriculum and individualized learning plans for each student, combined with social-emotional well being programs for strong character development. AGCS is so much more than an outstanding education for your child - we're family.

Opened in 2002, AGCS is located in the small town of West Grove in Chester County, Pennsylvania. AGCS is independent of the district and is governed by its own Board of Directors, who are held directly accountable for the goals outlined in its charter.

2019-2020 Avon Grove Charter School Theme

I am Avon Grove Charter School

Each school year, AGCS selects an unique theme. This year is all about Diversity - "I AM". Each of us unique, with special qualities and gifts that we bring to our AGCS Community. We celebrate not only our similarities, but also our differences.

Charter Renewed

In April of 2017, the Avon Grove School District Board of Directors held a public meeting and renewed our Charter for the next five years. Kristen Bishop, our Head of School and C.E.O., presented information about our school and our expansion plans. Please download the
