Fundraisers 2016-2017

This year, we're offering some exciting opportunities to have fun and build relationships within our outstanding AGCS community, while raising funds to support our school!

To help you plan for these awesome events, we've listed them below. We hope to see you there!

We also raise funds on a smaller scale throughout the year through department tee shirt sales (Barnyard Bingo, Arts Fest,) bake sales, candy grams, and other "table" sales.

October 3rd-19th • Joe Corbi Fundraiser 

Proceeds benefit each grade level's needs, such as technology and field trips.

Order some quick pizza meal kits, delicious desserts, and more! Pickup will be scheduled at the Stat Road Campus cafeteria the week of November 14th. Watch for catalogs to come home in your student's backpack!

October 3rd-14th • PTO KidStuff Coupon Book Sale

Proceeds benefit school assemblies, field trips, technology needs, and more.

Don't miss the opportunity to get fantastic discounts at local businesses! One KidStuff book will go home with the youngest K-5th grader in your family in early October.  The PTO makes a whopping 50% profit on each book we sell for our school, so order additional copies for friends and family! October 10th-20th • PTO Bookaneer Scholastic Fall Book Fair 

Daily at the State Road Campus only (ELC will be in the spring)
Proceeds go toward purchasing teaching materials and classroom technology needs

Ahoy Mateys! Come be a part of our reading initiative at AGCS! We value reading and appreciate every opportunity to encourage our students to jump on the ship and READ! For more information, please visit our PTO website.

October 15th • Micro-Farm to Table Dinner

6:00-10:00pm, Katt and Mathy Farms, 267 Baker Rd, Cochranville
SOLD OUT! Tickets $50 for Adults only. Childcare event offered for $25.  
Proceeds benefit the AGCS Micro-Farm, STEM Program, and Arts Departments

Enjoy a delicious meal of ACCS & local farm seasonal vegetables and grass-fed beef prepared by renowned local chefs! The evening includes: dinner, entertainment from our student and staff musical ensembles, student art and photography auction, wine pull, and lawn games. The art teachers are offering a simultaneous Painting with a Twix event at the farm for students/children, including dinner and a movie, for $25.

October 17th - November 9th • Yankee Candle Sale 

Proceeds benefit the 2017 Junior/Senior Prom 

High School students will be participating in our annual Yankee Candle® - America’s Best Loved Candle™ sale. Renowned for their quality and true-to life scents, Yankee® candles are America’s Best Loved gift to give and get!

November 7th-21st • Gertrude Hawk Fall Candy Sale 

Proceeds benefit classroom technology needs

Stock up on phenomenal Gertrude Hawk candy! It makes a great holiday gift. Delivery will be around December 14th, just in time for Christmas! Watch for catalogs to come home in your student's backpack.

November 11th • PTO Fall Handbag Bingo

6:30-9:30pm, Red Men Pavilion, 114 Brick Road, Oxford

Proceeds will be allocated based on school needs and our Parent End of Year Feedback

Last year's event was a huge success and this year promises to be even better! If you love gorgeous handbags, hanging out with the girls, and supporting AGCS, then this is the opportunity you've been waiting for! Join us for a night of bingo and fun. There will be over 20 high-quality, name brand handbags in the prize lineup, plus raffle baskets, 50/50 drawings, and a LuLa Roe by Tara pop-up boutique! December 7th • Fall Roller Skating Party

January 15th • Casino Night

Proceeds benefit Special Education and our Wolf Pack Mentoring Program

Don't miss this exciting night out! Try your luck at blackjack, roulette, and craps at tables manned by professional dealers. Your admission includes gaming chips to help you win tickets to enter drawings for our incredible themed baskets, filled with tons of great prizes! Enjoy appetizers, music, gaming, and socializing with our AGCS community. Watch for information in your Wednesday mail! Sponsored by the AGCS PTO.

February 10th • PTO Winter Handbag Bingo

March 2nd • Spring Roller Skating Party 

6:30-8:30pm, Christiana Skating Center, 801 Christiana Road, Newark, DE

March 10th • Night at the Races

6:00-10:00pm, Red Men Pavilion, 114 Brick Road, Oxford
Tickets $30
Proceeds benefit our Language Arts Program and Technology

Get ready for a night of great fun, food, entertainment, and horse racing on the big screen! Admission includes dinner, dessert, and drinks (beer, wine, soda, and water.)
We'll have awesome silent auction items and raffle baskets. You can sponsor your own horse to race or just bet on the races. Tickets go on sale February 15th and sell out quickly, so don't miss your chance to attend! Additional information coming soon. Sponsored by the AGCS PTO.

April 29th • Bingo in the Barnyard

11:00am-2:00pm (rain or shine)  at the AGCS State Road Campus Micro-Farm
No entrance fee!
Proceeds benefit the AGCS Micro-Farm and Green Learning Initiative

Spend a day outdoors, playing, learning, and eating at our Micro-Farm! Take a chance on winning $1,000 at our Cow Plop Bingo (you gotta see it to believe it!) and enjoy lots of farm-themed fun, including: mechanical bull riding, plant sale, Kiss a Critter, crafts, face painting, and great food for sale - Hood's famous pork BBQ! We'll also have a DJ and sheep shearing, beekeeping, and biochar demonstrations. This event shows how the Micro-Farm plays such an important role in our children's hands-on education.

May 6th • AGCS Annual Golf Outing

Save the date!!
Time, location, and pricing will be announced
Proceeds benefit Technology and Security throughout the school

Enjoy a complete program of special events, 18 holes of golf (including cart) on a beautifully manicured course, lunch, door prizes, contests, and a scrumptious awards banquet. Events include: putting challenge, longest drive competition, closest to the pin challenge, Beat the Pro, and much more! Information will be sent out in the spring via Wednesday mail. Mark your calendars so you don't miss this outstanding outing!

May 13th • AGCS Color Run

AGCS is Excited to Announce our FIRST Annual 5k COLOR RUN!

Saturday, May 13th starting at 7:30am, race at 9:00am
AGCS State Road Campus
Registration fees: $20 AGCS Student, $35 Adults and non-AGCS Students
                                      Children under 4 are free!
Proceeds benefit our Language Arts Curriculum

The AGCS Color Run is a five-kilometer, un-timed event in which participants, or “Color Runners”, are doused from head to toe in different colors, made of food-grade corn starch. Don't miss the spectacle!
              • DJ-Lead warm-up and dance party
              • Prizes for the most colorful and creative!
              • Registrations paid and received by April 9th - receive a Color Run Fun Bag!

June • AGCS Carnival

The AGCS Carnival will come to the State Road Campus in June. We will post more details as they become available.
