The placement of students into appropriate courses is an important factor that contributes to student success. To make appropriate placement decisions, Middle School teachers will consider multiple sources of data during the decision making process. Teachers give serious consideration to these recommendations in an effort to create a challenging learning environment. Teachers will examine student performance in class as evidenced by their report card grades, performance on PSSA assessments, student performance and growth on local MAP assessments, PVAAS growth projections, and student work ethic. Additional assessment data may be considered should any be available regarding individual student performance.
Our Middle School program has four (4) distinct course levels within the program to meet individual student needs, provide academic interventions, and enrichment opportunities beyond grade level standards.
